Pretzel is a big, lovable boy with a perfectly patterned brindle coat, ears that seem to have a mind of their own, and a happy, wiggly presence that's impossible not to smile at. He's estimated to be around 1-2 years old and weighs about 72 lbs. Pretzel is a bully mix with the sweetest heart, and while he's a big boy, he's still very much a puppy at heart. He's eager, smart, responsive, and wants to do the right thing. He's incredibly people-oriented and adoring, always checking in with his handler and leaning in for connection. Pretzel has a soft sweetness that makes him instantly lovable. He's not stubborn; he's learning, and with a treat in hand, he's a master in no time.
Ideal Home
Pretzel is currently a puppy in a big body. He can occasionally jump up and get a bit mouthy when excited, but he's not trying to hurt you. He would benefit from structure, redirection, and consistency. He would do best with a medium-energy dog who can tolerate his learning curve and help show him appropriate play. He has shown promising signs with cats, approaching with curiosity and then disengaging, and even acted as a perfect gentleman with the resident cat.
Ongoing Health
Pretzel comes fully vetted, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also had a heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Pretzel knows how to sit and is very food motivated, making training effective and fun. He can get excited on leash, especially when meeting new dogs, and needs a confident handler to help him stay focused. With correction, he checks in nicely and walks more calmly. He can be a bit pushy with other dogs as he learns boundaries, but he understands clear corrections and guidance.

Pretzel is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA-certified transport system, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
