Shadow is a high-drive, working breed Border Collie who is looking for a partner to share her athletic lifestyle! She's an intelligent girl who loves to keep her mind and body busy. Shadow enjoys activities like biking, hiking, and swimming, and she's even skilled at carrying a weighted pack on her hikes to help her focus and relax. If you're looking for an energetic companion to join you on adventures, Shadow might be the perfect fit!

Ideal Home

Shadow thrives with an active lifestyle and needs a home that can meet her significant physical and mental exercise requirements. This means more than just an hour-long walk a day. She is dog-selective and would do well in a home with no other dogs, or with a carefully selected canine companion. She is not a fan of small dogs or other small animals, and she prefers structured activities over chaotic environments like dog parks or high-energy daycares. Shadow also prefers not to be approached, touched, or spoken to by strangers, and while she has improved her tolerance, she's unlikely to be a "coffee shop" dog.

Ongoing Health

Shadow is up-to-date on vaccinations and will be spayed and microchipped prior to adoption.

Training & Support

Shadow is a quick learner and is proficient in basic obedience cues, including sit, down, stand, stay, recall, place, middle, and loose-leash walking. She is also crate trained and uses her crate daily for rest and meals. While she has made great strides in her tolerance for strangers, she still needs guidance in navigating public spaces.
