Kamoku & Kasumi

Meet Kamoku and Kasumi, a bonded duo who have shared a lifetime of love and holidays! Kamoku, a 14-year-old Dachshund mix, weighs 17 lbs. Kasumi, a 5-year-old Cairn Terrier mix, is currently 38 lbs and working towards a goal weight of 22 lbs. These two were cherished by their previous owner, whose holiday photos with them date back a decade. Sadly, when their owner's health declined and she moved into a nursing home, no one in her life stepped up to care for Kamoku and Kasumi, leaving them to be surrendered to the shelter. When separated, Kamoku lost his appetite, and Kasumi experienced significant distress. They are deeply bonded and must be adopted together. When they are together, they are calm, affectionate companions who coexist peacefully with other pets and children.

Kamoku and Kasumi would love a home where they can continue to be cherished companions. They are good with kids, cats, and other dogs, and are described as mellow and affectionate.
