Meet Huichol! He's a charming 6-month-old male, weighing 13 kgs and expected to be a medium to large-sized pup. Huichol is already vaccinated and de-wormed, ready to find his forever family!
Huichol's journey began in foster care after his mom was rescued from a dangerous situation. He and his siblings were born shortly after his mom's rescue. He's a big baby who still thinks he's a small puppy, always ready for cuddles and showering his loved ones with kisses. Huichol has a goofy and tender personality that will capture your heart. He's incredibly food-motivated and responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement training. While he can be a bit shy initially, he warms up after a few minutes. He's also a little wary of young children, so a home with kids 12 and older would be ideal. Huichol is still working on his leash manners around other dogs and new people, but he's a quick learner and a good listener when using positive training methods. He absolutely loves toys, enjoys car rides, and seems to have a special fondness for playing in water.
Ideal Home
Huichol would thrive in a home with older children (12+) and friendly dogs. He is not a good fit for homes with cats. A yard with access for potty training would be beneficial.

Training & Support
Huichol is potty trained with yard access. He is food-motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement training. He is still learning leash manners around other dogs and new people but is making great progress.

Transportation
Huichol is located near Bucerias, Mexico. Transport to the US and Canada is available via flight companions, with meetups at the airport. During summer months, transport to Peace Arch Park at the US-Canada border may be an option if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable.
