Meet Blondie — a truly special dog with a heartbreaking past and one of the sweetest hearts you’ll ever encounter. Blondie was abandoned in La Marque and left to survive on his own, scared and unsure of the world around him. For weeks, he lived underneath a house while a kind person fed him and tried to help him stay safe.

Despite being posted all over social media for over a month, nobody came for him. Just one week before he was finally rescued, Blondie was rolled under a car. Miraculously, he walked away without injuries, but it’s impossible not to wonder how much this sweet boy has already endured in his young life.

And yet… Blondie still chooses love.

He is incredibly affectionate and wants nothing more than to stay close to his people. He’ll happily follow you from room to room simply because being near you makes him feel safe and happy. He’s currently fostered with a two-year-old child and has been wonderful with kids. He also gets along beautifully with other dogs and completely ignores cats.

Blondie appears to be house trained as well, with only one accident since entering foster care.

Because of his abandonment, Blondie does struggle with separation anxiety. He doesn’t destroy things, but he will cry and howl when left alone because he’s terrified of being abandoned again. New people can make him nervous at first too, and he may bark when strangers arrive, but once he realizes he’s safe, his loving and gentle personality quickly shines through.

Blondie deserves a forever family who will give him patience, consistency, and the unconditional love he has always deserved. In return, he will reward you with endless loyalty and companionship.
