This striking five-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull Terrier/German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix is a loyal companion ready for a new best friend. Weighing 62 pounds, she is strong, sturdy, and full of energy. With her beautiful tricolor coat and deep brown eyes, Augusta is a head-turner with a happy, boundless personality! Augusta is a training graduate who has mastered several commands and heels nicely on a leash. She is also crate-trained and happily settles into her cozy retreat when asked. Her love for people shines in her desire for snuggles and companionship. She is incredibly smart and can quickly pick up on cues, especially when treats are involved! When Augusta was first found, she was unsure of the world and sometimes stepped into the role of protector, which made her defensive. With time, structure, and trust, her behavior has transformed, and she now responds beautifully to guidance and routine!
Ideal Home
Augusta would do best with an attentive pet guardian who understands how to manage her interactions and provide ongoing structure. She thrives with an active lifestyle and would do well in a home where she can enjoy physical exercise and mental enrichment. She is best suited as the only pet in an adult-only home with a guardian who has experience handling high-energy dogs and is committed to maintaining her progress.
