Meet Layla! This stunning 5-year-old pup has a gorgeous, light brown coat, big ears that are perfect for scratches, and a heart full of love, just waiting for her forever family. We believe she might be a Shepherd-Pitty mix, but one thing is for sure: she's one of the sweetest girls you'll ever meet. Layla is a bit shy initially and takes her time warming up to new people. However, once she trusts you, her tail wags, her eyes sparkle, and she showers you with quiet, devoted affection. Ideal Home
Layla would thrive in a home where she can decompress, feel safe, and let her personality shine at her own pace. She's happiest with a calm, aloof male dog companion who can help her feel safe and confident. She is looking for a best friend, not necessarily a high-energy playmate. Layla is also cat-tolerant, giving kitties their space. She would do best with older children, around 8 and up, due to her sensitivity to new people and touch.
Ongoing Health
Layla is a healthy girl. Her adoption fee includes all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injection, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip.
Training & Support
Layla may need some help building leash confidence in new places. We assess every animal with trainers on staff, modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans, including crate training, potty training, and leash walking.

- You will meet your pet through a video call before the adoption is finalized.
Transporation
Layla is currently in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Transport does have an additional surcharge. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
