Falcon - Tripod Alert

Falcon is a handsome, friendly goofball looking for an active, caring family. This large young dog loves everyone he meets and is happy, playful, and affectionate.

Falcon had an atrophied and contracted front leg amputated after arriving at a local shelter. He adapted well because he was not using the leg before surgery, though he can tire quickly on walks and needs a family mindful of his physical limits.

Ideal Home

Falcon lives successfully with dogs and cats in his foster home. Because of his size and playful mouthing, children in his home must be at least 12 years old. He needs plenty of mental and physical exercise, help building stamina, and continued guidance as he learns to manage his big body and puppy brain.

Ongoing Health

Falcon is a tripod who has healed from his amputation. He may tire quickly on walks and needs activity suited to his abilities.

Training & Support

Falcon is housetrained and crate trained. He is working on playful mouthing and will need adopters willing to continue guiding him.
