Meet Rosie!

Rosie is a 4.5-year-old, approximately 65 lb, female Yellow Retriever Mix with a sweet and sensitive soul. She was originally rescued from Mexico and adopted in 2022. Rosie is being returned through no fault of her own due to changes in her previous adopter's household dynamics. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on all preventatives. Rosie is looking for a second chance with a loving forever family who understands her gentle nature.

Ideal Home

Rosie thrives in calm, predictable environments and would do best in a quiet home with patient humans who respect her boundaries. She's done well with older, dog-savvy children she knows but isn't comfortable around toddlers. Rosie is not suited to homes with cats. She enjoys the company of other dogs after slow introductions and has done great in daycare settings. Access to a yard or nature for sniff walks and porch lounging is a plus!

Ongoing Health

Rosie is in great health with no ongoing medical needs. She can be a little anxious in certain situations like vet visits or nail trims, but handles them well with support and occasionally prescribed anxiety medication.

Training & Support

Rosie is a smart girl who knows a wide range of commands and responds well to positive reinforcement. She previously worked through separation and confinement anxiety and is now comfortable being left alone for a few hours. While she's not traditionally crate trained, she loves having an open crate as her safe space. Rosie enjoys daily walks, puzzle toys, and quiet indoor games. She may show some leash reactivity to unfamiliar dogs, but it's manageable with guidance and patience.
