Toby

Meet Toby, an affectionate and playful 2-year-old Miniature Poodle who weighs about 10 lbs. Toby is a true "velcro dog," always wanting to be close to his people. He came to us as a stray, so we don't have much of his past history, but we're learning more about him every day! His coat was recently shaved down due to severe matting.

Ideal Home

Toby is a lively pup with a lot of puppy energy! He enjoys playful mouthing, so a home that can redirect this behavior is ideal. He thrives when he has his own quiet space to eat. While he's curious about other dogs, his high energy is best suited for a home with an only dog or with canine companions who can match his play style, rather than a home with senior dogs.

Ongoing Health

Toby has been neutered, microchipped, and is up-to-date on vaccinations. He has also been dewormed. He comes with 2 free vet visits and a Healthy Start Certificate with VCA Hospitals, including a $250 health credit (restrictions apply).

Training & Support

Toby is fully crate trained and sleeps soundly in his crate. He's also making great progress with potty training and does well with regular yard access. He's eager to learn and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to help with his playful mouthing. You'll also receive 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org, which includes access to trainers and online resources to help Toby settle into your home.

Transportation

Toby is currently located at our Adoption Center, next to CAL Ranch at 232 North Jones (I-95) Suite 170. You can visit him during our adoption hours on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 4 PM. No appointment is necessary.
