Diesel is a young Border Collie / Sheltie / Australian Shepherd mix (best guess) searching for a home committed to helping him reach his full potential. He is highly food-, toy-, and treat-motivated, eager to learn, and thrives with training. Diesel has a strong play drive—fetch is his favorite activity, and he almost always has a toy in his mouth. He is constantly on the move and always ready for his next adventure. He is housebroken and crate trained and currently lives peacefully with other dogs, cats, and older children in his foster home. While he does well with kids, a home without young children is preferred; older, well-mannered children would be fine. Diesel can be a bit nervous when meeting new people in unfamiliar environments, but once he feels comfortable, his confident, fun personality shines. He thrives in a busy, active home and loves being on the go. Bonus: he also loves to swim!

An active household looking for a high-energy dog who can truly keep up with your lifestyle. An experienced home that understands the mental and physical demands of high-energy herding breeds. A physically fenced yard is mandatory—Diesel is not a candidate for wireless fences, tie-outs or leash-only exercise and will escape if given the opportunity. He requires a home with another young, energetic dog, as he spends much of his time actively playing and wrestling with his foster siblings. An applicant specifically seeking a dog with potential for agility, rally, obedience, or scent work or experience training high-drive dogs. A home without young children is preferred, but older, well-mannered children would be fine.
