Meet Rio!

Rio is a charming 1-year-old, 19lb Chihuahua & Dachshund mix with a heart full of love to give. He might be a little shy at first, but with a little patience and a tasty treat, his affectionate and loyal personality truly shines. He enjoys cozying up in blankets and will often peek around corners just to get a glimpse of you, a sure sign he's ready for some cuddles.

Ideal Home

Rio would thrive in a calm home where he can feel safe and secure. He would do best in a home without young children. A fenced-in yard is ideal for him to continue practicing his leash walking skills in a safe environment.

Ongoing Health

Rio is potty trained and crate trained. He loves his crate so much that we hope his new family will allow him 24/7 access to it so he can retreat when he wishes.

Training & Support

Rio is still mastering leash manners and would benefit from a patient adopter who can help him build confidence. Consistency and encouragement will help him become a wonderful walking companion.
