Meet Castiel, a year-old bundle of joy with a unique charm! We believe he's a delightful mix of Wire Hair Terrier and Chihuahua, but with all our rescue pups, it's a bit of a mystery! Castiel comes from an area with high euthanasia rates, so choosing him means saving a precious life and opening the door for another animal to be rescued.
This spunky boy has a wiry coat that's likely to be moderate to low shedding. He's full of youthful energy and loves to play! Castiel is a social butterfly who enjoys interacting with kids and other dogs, and he's not too pushy when initiating playtime. He's a people-pleaser at heart and eager to learn, which will make training a rewarding experience. Castiel is also a trusting and outgoing pup who was uninterested when he met a cat. He's hearing impaired but this doesn't slow him down one bit – he's just as capable of zooming around and snuggling up for affection! With his striking blue eyes, Castiel is truly one-of-a-kind and will make an amazing companion for anyone looking for a loyal friend.

Transportation
Castiel is currently fostered in Portland, OR. Transport is available to NV, MT, CO, UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and the East Coast. PNW dogs travel via USDA licensed semi-truck, and East Coast dogs via a private, air-conditioned van. You will be able to follow your pup's journey on a private Facebook Event page.
