True to his name, Peterbuilt is strong, steady, and dependable—a gentle giant with a heart full of love. With his large frame and soulful eyes, he might look tough, but those who know him quickly learn he's a total sweetheart who lives for affection and connection. Peterbuilt loves attention and thrives on human companionship. He's affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he’s near his people—especially if there are treats involved! His adorable head tilt and beaming smile will instantly win you over.
While Peterbuilt has a calm, relaxed demeanor, he also has a playful side and enjoys mental stimulation. He already knows Sit, Shake, and Wait, and walks well on a leash with occasional reminders. He’s a quick learner and would thrive with continued training and one-on-one time with a confident, experienced handler. One of Peterbuilt’s absolute favorite things? Car rides! He lights up at the chance to hop in and go for a drive—whether it's a quick trip around town or a long road trip, he’s ready to be your co-pilot. Ideal Home
Peterbuilt would do best in an adult-only home where he can enjoy a calm environment without the chaos of children. He is not a dog who enjoys roughhousing or wrestling with his humans—he prefers gentle affection and relaxing cuddle time. Peterbuilt will thrive with a strong, confident handler who can meet his needs and provide him with patience and love. He’s looking for a home where he can relax, enjoy daily enrichment, and be cherished as the loyal companion he is.
Ongoing Health
Peterbuilt was diagnosed with Cutaneous Hemangiosarcomas, a type of skin cancer. While we’re uncertain how the condition may progress, the initial tumors were removed successfully, and we haven’t seen any new growths since—an encouraging sign. He’s currently feeling good, and we’re hopeful he’ll continue to do well. All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.
Training & Support
Peterbuilt already knows Sit, Shake, and Wait, and walks well on a leash with occasional reminders. He’s a quick learner and would thrive with continued training and one-on-one time with a confident, experienced handler.
