Josie is a sweet and loving companion for the whole family! This delightful Staffordshire Terrier mix, estimated to be born around October 26, 2023, and weighing 41 lbs, is the perfect cuddle buddy for any occasion. She enjoys playing with her toys, snuggling with her foster siblings, sunbathing, and the occasional chicken nugget! Josie has been living in a foster home with children and does wonderfully with them.
She has seamlessly acclimated to her foster home, is potty trained, great on the leash, and knows commands such as "sit" and "stay." Josie is very treat-motivated, eager to learn, obey, and be part of your pack! She does wonderfully well with other dogs, especially playful ones. Snuggling up on the couch is one of her favorite pastimes, and she's always ready for a good snooze. She's happy sleeping on the couch or going for long walks. When she's fully rested, her absolute favorite activity is going on car rides, and she makes a perfect car-riding companion! Josie was rescued from a county shelter where she was scheduled for euthanasia due to overcrowding. She arrived as a neglect case, emaciated and clearly having had a rough start, but she has come a long way. She is still working on gaining a little more weight but is ready to find her forever home.
Ideal Home
Josie would thrive in a home that can continue to provide her with love and attention. She does wonderfully with children and other dogs.

Josie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She is still working on gaining a few more pounds.
Training & Support
Josie is already kennel and potty trained, and great on the leash. She knows commands like "sit" and "stay" and is eager to continue learning. She is treat-motivated, making training a breeze!

Josie is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and is coordinated with third-party services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. You will be able to track your dog's transport via the Life360 app and receive updates. Pickup locations may vary and can be across city, county, and/or state lines.
