Ella (loves people - needs a chance)

Meet Ella! This 3-year-old, 65lb bundle of energy had a very rough start to life. She was hit by a car and required hip surgery, only to later undergo emergency surgery to remove a life-threatening object. Despite these hardships, Ella is a resilient and loving dog who adores people. She has a zest for life and loves to run, swim, and play fetch. Ella is incredibly cuddly and calm when she's one-on-one with her people and even enjoys tractor rides!

Ideal Home

Ella needs an experienced large-breed owner or family who can provide plenty of exercise and ongoing training. A fenced yard would be ideal for her to safely run and play. She must be the only pet in the home, as she is unpredictable with other animals and not good with cats or small dogs. Ella would do well in a home with children, but not very young ones, as her size can lead to accidental knock-overs.

Ongoing Health

Ella is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and has tested negative for heartworm and tick-borne illnesses.

Training & Support

Ella has trained with renowned dog trainer Paul Deschamp at Wild Harbor Canine and has shown impressive abilities. If you are in the Cotuit, MA area, you can continue working with Paul. She needs continued training and exercise to help her become the best version of herself.

Transportation

Ella is currently being fostered in Dayville, CT, but also travels regularly to Cape Cod with her foster family.
