Friar

Friar is a darling 13-year-old gentleman who weighs just under 12 lbs. He's a very sweet soul who is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, enjoying a loving foster home environment where we're learning all about his wonderful personality. Friar is the ultimate professional snuggler, happy to be by your side on the couch or bed, leaning in for affection. He's been a total joy to have around, peacefully coexisting with senior dogs and cats, and is more interested in his human companions than his furry friends.

Despite having very limited vision, Friar navigates his surroundings like a pro, quickly mapping out new spaces with his superb hearing. He knows his name, always responds with a happy smile and wagging tail, and is a great leash walker, preferring a slow and steady pace to enjoy the scenery. Friar sleeps through the night, is not currently on any medications, and has a dental appointment scheduled. He can get a little anxious in the car but is not destructive; he much prefers being cradled like a baby and doesn't mind being picked up at all! He's a quiet fellow, only occasionally serenading passing firetruck sirens. Friar is a gentle, resilient soul who is simply looking for a cozy spot to call his own and plenty of belly rubs.

Training & Support

Friar is easygoing and has good manners. He is a quiet dog, with the exception of occasional barking at sirens. He enjoys slow walks and does not mind being picked up.
