Luke

Luke is an 8-year-old sweet boy who is learning the ropes of being an inside dog after a life spent mostly chained. He's discovered his crate is a safe space when he feels overwhelmed and has a special fondness for his foster dad, often seeking comfort in his lap. Luke is a loving companion who desperately wants to be part of a family. He will be starting heartworm treatment soon and will be available for adoption once he's completed it.

Ideal Home

Luke needs a patient family who can show him what a loving home is. He requires a securely fenced yard with a 6-foot privacy fence. Because his zoomies can be a bit much for little ones, he would do best in a home with older, respectful children. We don't believe he'd be a good fit for a home with cats, as he shows a bit too much interest in them when encountered outside.

Ongoing Health

Luke will be starting heartworm treatment soon. He will be available for adoption after his treatment is successfully completed.

Training & Support

Luke is learning to be an inside dog and is practicing calming himself by using his crate when feeling overwhelmed. He is a sweet boy who is eager to please and will thrive with consistent love and positive reinforcement.
