Meet Rio! Rio is a playful and lovable pup who looks like a little Oreo cookie, complete with floppy ears and a freckled snoot. He's a super fast learner who loves to train and will do just about anything for a tasty treat. He already knows his name, "sit," "come," "down," and "rest for cooperative care," and he's working on a hand target. Rio also enjoys car rides, fetch, and tug-of-war, and he's a big fan of chew toys like pig ears. He's crate trained and doesn't mind bath or nail clipping time. While Rio can be a bit of a booger with other dogs, he's eager to learn and looking for a patient and guiding family.

Ideal Home

Rio would do best in a home with a sturdy, chill dog that is his size or larger, who isn't easily annoyed and can help correct his rambunctious play style. He is NOT a good fit for homes with cats, as he does not see them as approved toys.

Rio is a healthy young pup.

Training & Support

Rio is currently working on his food and toy-sharing manners, his dog-on-dog skills, and getting used to being restrained in the car. His foster mom, a professional trainer, is happy to provide tips and guidance to help him succeed in his new home.
