Duncan

Duncan is a sweet, approximately 1-year-old boy who weighs around 19 lbs. He's a typical multiple breed mix with a lot of Chihuahua in him, and he loves to play with his squeaky toys. Duncan enjoys gentle petting and lots of attention, making him a quiet and well-behaved companion. He seems to be doing pretty well with house training and is okay on a leash, though he could benefit from a little more training to perfect these skills. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs.

Ideal Home

Duncan would do best in a home without children under 8 years old.

Ongoing Health

Duncan tested positive for heartworms upon rescue and has completed treatment according to The American Heartworm Society protocols. It's common for dogs to test negative within 4 to 6 months after treatment. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (Rabies, Dhpp, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza), and on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas/ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

Duncan is generally well-behaved but would benefit from additional leash training and continued positive reinforcement for his house-training.
