Luna Lee is a beautiful, large mixed breed dog who is as loyal and loving as they come. She’s on the lookout for a forever family to call her own. Luna Lee was surrendered after her previous owner had to move to a new apartment that didn’t allow pets. She's really hoping her next family is in it for the long haul and will think seriously about their long-term living arrangements before adopting. Her previous family said she loves peanut butter, loves to cuddle, and her nickname is 'Noonie.' She also enjoys butt pats and is amazing with kids. Luna Lee can get a little excited and tends to jump, but it’s only out of happiness! She is quite food-motivated and attentive, which will be a great asset in her training.
Ideal Home
Luna Lee would do best in a single-dog home. She previously lived successfully with a cat and should be fine with a slow, supervised introduction. She is recommended for dog-savvy kids experienced with large breeds. Due to her size and energy level, an apartment is not recommended; a home with a yard would be ideal, and a fenced yard would be even better!
Ongoing Health
Luna Lee is a bit overweight and would benefit from losing about 15lbs to reach her ideal weight. Regular exercise and potentially a special low-calorie diet will help her on her fitness journey.
Training & Support
Luna Lee could use some work on leash walking and dog socialization. Her food motivation and attentive nature will be a big help with training!
