Meet Lip!

This handsome 31 flavors mixed breed, estimated to be born on 11/01/2020 and weighing around 50lbs, is the most gentle and loving soul. Lip desperately craves snuggles and affection, and he loves the company of other dogs. He has a relaxed demeanor that makes him a wonderful dog for a family with kids. Lip has a rough and tragic history; as a young pup, he was shot in a rear leg, just weeks after being hit by a car and injuring that same leg. He never received proper vet care, and repairing it now would be risky. While he uses his leg with little trouble, you might notice some stiffness or an odd rhythm to his gait in colder weather or after he's been very active. Our vet has examined him and recommended leaving it be, as intervention now could do more harm than good. He is predisposed to arthritis in that leg, but otherwise, he's a healthy boy.

Ideal Home

Lip would love a home where he can get plenty of snuggles and affection. He enjoys the company of other dogs, but a meet and greet is required if you have other dogs in the home. He has not been tested with cats.

Ongoing Health

Lip has a past injury to one of his rear legs due to being shot and hit by a car. While he functions well, he may experience stiffness in cold weather or after activity. He is predisposed to arthritis in that leg.
