Meet Red, our longest resident and a true testament to resilience! This handsome 4-year-old pittie mix has a smile that could light up any room. Red, along with 15 other wonderful dogs, was rescued from a Florida shelter that was devastated by hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024. After an incredible 1.5 years with us, Red is still patiently waiting for his forever family. He's an energetic and affectionate boy with an infectious zest for life. Red has been an absolute joy to care for, loving his time in the yard, romping with staff, and soaking up all the affection from volunteers and his favorite people. He is a pro at being housetrained and is always a willing participant for doggy day outs and foster adventures!
Red's happy disposition is contagious, and he'll undoubtedly bring a smile to your face every single day. He's a charmer with both people and dogs, showing a preference for the ladies, but with slow and proper introductions, he can become a friend to all. Transporation
Red is located in South Carolina and we transport to the northeast weekly. Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their new pet. We offer local or virtual meet-and-greets with an application on file.
