About Diego

Diego is a super gorgeous Portuguese Waterdog mix, possibly with Poodle and Labrador in his lineage. He's two years old, weighs around 55 pounds, and is expected to reach about 60-65 pounds. Diego has soft, long black poodle fur and the heart of a teddy bear. He was rescued from a local shelter and is described as a fluffy adventure seeker who loves to jump and leap! He settles down nicely after playtime or a brisk walk and is quite calm, absolutely adoring cuddles and giving big hugs. Diego will make a wonderful companion for adventures.

Ideal Home

Diego would thrive with a dog-loving person who understands he has a lot to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in.

Ongoing Health

Diego is microchipped and vaccinated. He will be neutered soon.

Training & Support

Diego is housebroken on a schedule.

Transportation

Diego is an "out of town pet" and is currently located in Houston, Texas. Transport can be arranged to your location. Once your application is approved, you can arrange a FaceTime session to meet him. Dogs are transported via air-conditioned/heated vans by AJC Rescue & Transport, with a team of two drivers. You will be included in a group chat to track your dog during transport and will receive updates on their location and estimated arrival time. All dogs are crated during transport for safety and will have stops for breaks.
