Meet Greta! This beautiful, approximately 4-5 year old Labrador/Pyrenees mix is a substantial girl, weighing around 80 pounds. Don't let her size fool you – Greta is a total love bug who adores receiving pets and attention from her favorite people! She's an eager learner and is ready to explore the world with a patient and loving family.

Ideal Home

Greta would thrive in a home with other large, playful male dogs where she can learn and grow with a confident companion. She's not a fan of smaller dogs and can be selective with female dogs. Greta also enjoys being a couch companion, so be prepared for plenty of snuggle time! She has been cat tested and is timid around feline friends, so a dog-savvy cat or no cats at all would be best. To ensure her comfort and safety, Greta would do best in a home without children, as she can be nervous around unexpected movements.

Ongoing Health

Greta's adoption fee of $250 includes her spay surgery, microchip, and all current vaccinations and preventatives.

Training & Support

Greta is a willing student eager to learn and discover new things. She is included in a free basic obedience training course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha, which will be a great way to bond and reinforce her learning. Last Hope requires all pets to be indoor-only and adopters to have a history of keeping their pets altered and up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives.

Greta is currently located at our Hiawatha shelter. We can transport pets to approved adopters within a 50-mile radius.
