About Dahlia Daisy Flower the MINI Lab

Dahlia is a delightful 10-month-old "itty bitty labbie pittie" who is as sweet and beautiful as her namesake flower. Weighing in at a petite 35 pounds, she's expected to reach a maximum of 45 pounds, making her a wonderfully manageable companion. Dahlia is a pup who loves to start her day with a potty break and some energetic zoomies, followed by a brisk walk where her leash skills are nearly perfect, unless a squirrel dares to cross her path! She thrives on outdoor adventures, whether it's hitting the trails, exploring parks, or even taking an impromptu dip in a creek or river, making her an ideal candidate for camping trips.

Dahlia is a social butterfly with other dogs and enjoys playful interactions, though smaller dogs should be confident in setting their boundaries. She's a bit shy around new people but warms up quickly, showing her sweet and affectionate nature. She also enjoys a good game of fetch with pinecones and carrying around big sticks! Dahlia is crate and house-trained, but she can be vocal when initially left alone in her crate, which is something to consider for homes with shared walls. She would adapt well to apartment living as long as she gets plenty of exercise.

Ideal Home

Dahlia would thrive in an active home that can provide her with at least two walks daily and opportunities for play. She would be happiest with another playful dog in the home or having access to regular doggy daycare if her humans work outside the home. She has not been tested with cats or children, but we believe she would do well with respectful children aged 8 and up.

Ongoing Health

Dahlia is up-to-date on all her vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention. She has been spayed and microchipped.

Training & Support

Dahlia is crate and house-trained, but she can cry when initially left alone in her crate. This will need to be re-established in her new home. She is a quick learner and will likely excel with continued positive reinforcement.
