Bun Bun

Meet Bun Bun, also known as Bunny or Benito, a loving and playful young dog with incredible potential! This 1-year-old, approximately 45 lb mixed breed has a personality as adorable as his looks, from his soft black velvet face to his pink-lined ears and beautiful brindle coat. Bun Bun truly adores his people. Whether he's dropping his ball at your feet for another round of fetch, gently carrying around his favorite bunny stuffie, or settling in for a cuddle, Bun Bun thrives on connection and companionship.

Ideal Home

Bun Bun will thrive in a home that provides structure, consistency, and continued training. He needs an active lifestyle with daily exercise and a patient, committed adopter who understands young dogs. A home with a fenced yard would be wonderful, or an apartment or home where he receives adequate daily exercise and enrichment.

Ongoing Health

Bun Bun is housebroken and will signal at the door, though occasional accidents may happen as he continues to mature. He is also crate trained and is kept crated when left alone for safety due to his curiosity.

Training & Support

Bun Bun is a smart, eager-to-please, and highly trainable dog who has completed a 3-week in-residence training program. He is continuing to build on those skills in foster care. Like many young dogs, he can be reactive to other dogs at times (though he is improving with proper, slow introductions) and has mild separation anxiety that is improving with consistency. He can also be mouthy and curious, which is typical for his age. He did well with other dogs during training and is currently being introduced to dogs in his foster environment with promising progress.
