Weezer (20260413-04)

Weezer is a 1-year-old female Mountain Cur mix with a beautiful black and brown brindle coat. She weighs 48 lbs and has already been spayed. Weezer's life began with significant hardship; she was found injured after being hit by a car, requiring the amputation of a rear leg and a second surgery for her remaining hip. Despite these challenges, she has made a remarkable recovery and is now walking and thriving. She has a quiet strength, a gentle and soulful presence, and is incredibly sweet and deeply loyal. Weezer forms strong bonds with her people and loves to be close, acting as a devoted shadow and companion. She also has a playful, goofy side, especially enjoying bath time and even hopping into the shower when it's left open! Weezer is not aggressive but is naturally protective in a loving way, showing her deep connection to her person. She is defined not by what she has overcome, but by everything she has achieved.

Ideal Home

Weezer would thrive in a home with a yard. She would do well as an only dog or with canine siblings over 10 lbs. An apartment is not suitable for her needs.

Ongoing Health

Weezer is a tripod due to a rear leg amputation and has fully recovered from a surgery on her remaining back hip (FHO surgery).

Training & Support

Weezer is house-trained and crate-trained. She walks well on a leash and is not reactive to people or dogs. She is not a barker, food aggressive, or destructive. She rides well in the car.
