Cotton is a beautiful girl who began her life in a difficult hoarding situation, with minimal human interaction. She arrived scared, pregnant, and battling heartworm. Despite these challenges, Cotton has shown incredible resilience and grace, fighting her way back to health. She is now spayed, has completed her heartworm treatment, and is eagerly awaiting a loving home that appreciates her journey. Cotton thrives with the company of other dogs and is also gentle and respectful towards cats. She enjoys quiet naps in soft spots, soft-spoken humans, and slow, calm movements. Once she learns to trust, she absolutely adores ear rubs, belly rubs, and the affection of her people.

Ideal Home

Cotton is a shy girl who can be a bit skittish and is easily overwhelmed by fast movements, loud noises, or chaotic environments. She needs a peaceful, predictable home with patient people who understand shy dogs. Due to her sensitive nature, she would do best in a home without children under 15. A yard is essential for Cotton, as she loves spending time outdoors, especially lounging in the sun.

Training & Support

Cotton is house-trained, kennel-trained, and leash-trained. She excels at being sweet and gentle. While she may not greet you with enthusiastic tail wags on day one, she will quietly choose you and show you the meaning of true trust. Her full-body wiggles when she's comfortable will surely become a favorite sight.
