Gus

Gus is a gorgeous Australian Shepherd who came to us when his previous owner could no longer keep him because he "didn't like male dogs." When Gus arrived, it was clear he was very nervous around dogs in general, likely due to a lack of socialization. While he doesn't seek out conflict with other dogs, he doesn't enjoy their company. Gus is a true "Velcro dog" with his people and would be happiest in a home where he can be the only pet. If you're looking for a devoted companion, Gus is your guy! He's incredibly sweet to people and, as you can see, absolutely stunning.

Ideal Home

Gus would do best as the only dog in the home, as he can be nervous around other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Gus is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. He is on monthly heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Gus may need time to adjust to new environments. Given his nervousness around other dogs, continued positive reinforcement and a low-dog-traffic environment will help him feel secure.

• Adoption fees are non-negotiable.
• If you are not ready to immediately meet the dog you are applying for, please do not apply.
• Every dog is available to be taken home at the time of the meet and greet.
• We recommend bringing a carrier for transport, as some dogs may get carsick.
• Adult dogs and most puppies over 6 months will require a slip lead for safe transport.
• Adoption fees can be paid with Cash, Check, Venmo, PayPal, and credit card on the day of adoption.
