Meet Appletini, affectionately known as Tini! This sweet girl is about a year old and weighs around 60 pounds. She arrived with her siblings and, while a little reserved at first, has blossomed beautifully in her foster home. Tini has formed a delightful bond with the resident cat and adores her canine companions. She recently started an anti-anxiety medication, Fluoxetine, which has truly helped her confidence shine. Tini is a super trooper, even passing a recent test in a new foster home with flying colors, proving she can adapt to new environments and people, including children! She's got the most expressive eyebrows that will surely steal your heart.
Ideal Home
Tini would thrive in a home with experienced dog owners who are patient and willing to go at her pace as she adjusts. She absolutely needs to have other dogs in the home to be her playful companions. A large, securely fenced yard would be ideal for her safety and exploration. While she's met children, a home with older kids or active adults would be best, as little ones can sometimes be a bit much for a shy dog.
Ongoing Health
Tini is on Fluoxetine for anxiety, which has greatly aided her progress. She will need her adult vaccines in August.
Training & Support
Tini is crate trained and housebroken. She's also learning to walk on a leash. Tini will benefit greatly from the 3-3-3 rule: the first three days for adjusting, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization. Save-A-Mutt may require a training contract and a refundable deposit, which is returned upon completion of a 6+ week training class.
