Rickie

Rickie is a gentle sweetheart with a heart of gold. He might be a bit shy at first, but once he starts to trust you, each small step of progress feels incredibly special. While he may act shy, he secretly loves head and belly scratches. He is calm, loving, and enjoys quiet moments just as much as a little playtime. He's only ever barked twice in foster care, proving what a peaceful companion he is. Rickie does the cutest gallop to his bowl at meal time. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves having a four-legged friend.

Rickie's had a hard life, landing in two shelters and then being adopted only for his adopter to face challenges and be unable to care for him properly, leading to him becoming shy and withdrawn. Fortunately, his future is bright! He has blossomed under the care of his foster family. He gets along well with other dogs and is just learning to relax and play with toys. At 10 years young, Rickie is ready to live his Golden years with a family that will continue embracing his past and provide the loving secure home he always deserved.
