Buster is a 3-year-old Catahoula/Foxhound/Great Dane mix looking for his perfect forever home. At 68 pounds, Buster is a gentle giant with a heart to match. He came to us through impound and has spent time in boarding, where everyone who meets him falls in love with his sweet personality. A previous owner shared that Buster is great with children, though because he doesn't always realize how big he is, a home with older children would probably be best. The more we learn about Buster, the more we adore him. He has beautiful house manners and settles right into home life. He sleeps quietly through the night on his dog bed (which will go with him), keeps a tidy kennel, and appears to be housebroken. He loves being with his people and is happy to be both a playful companion and a laid-back couch buddy. Everyone who has cared for Buster has wonderful things to say about him. The staff at the veterinary hospital where he has been boarding absolutely adore him and have been rooting for him to find his forever family. He even visited the groomer before his photo shoot and was, according to them, the best boy. Buster is neutered, freshly vaccinated, and ready to go home.
Ideal Home
Buster's ideal home will have a securely fenced yard, people who want a loyal, affectionate companion, and no cats or chickens or other small livestock within his reach. Buster has a strong prey drive and is not safe around cats or small animals that may run from him. Because of that, we're looking for a home where he can be successful and thrive. A home with older children would probably be best.
