Bodhi is an American Bulldog and Pit Bull Terrier mix with an estimated age of 1-2 years and weighs approximately 75 lbs. Bodhi's story was almost over, but a kind volunteer stepped in to give him a second chance. Now, he's living in a foster home and has shown himself to be an affectionate and cuddly companion who absolutely loves people. He's known to roll over for belly rubs and enjoys making new friends this way! Bodhi is currently sharing his foster home with two dogs and two cats and has also met children, doing well with them. However, he can be a little mouthy, so he would be happiest in a home with older children. He has great manners, is comfortable in his crate, waits patiently for his leash, and already knows "sit," "paw," and "down." Bodhi is also a well-behaved companion on outings, remaining calm in busy places, making him a great adventure buddy. He has participated in successful dog introductions and enjoys the company of other dogs, especially females. While he can be a bit dominant with other males, introductions can be managed for success. Bodhi is a remarkable survivor ready for a forever family to call his own.
Ideal Home
Bodhi would do best in a home with older children due to his tendency to be a little mouthy. He enjoys canine companionship and has done well with female dogs; introductions with male dogs should be managed thoughtfully.
Ongoing Health
Bodhi is up-to-date on his vetting. His adoption fee covers basic vetting, rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, and monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. He will also have his spay/neuter surgery covered by our partner vet at 6 months of age, or we will reimburse up to the cost of our partner vet if you choose to use your own vet.
Training & Support
Bodhi will need a refresher in house-training. We strongly recommend enrolling Bodhi in obedience training to ensure a smooth transition into his new home, maintain his socialization, and help build a strong bond with his new family.
