About Tango (20251001-03)

Tango is a delightful 3-year-old, 55 lb Lab mix with a handsome red and brindle coat. He arrived at the shelter as a stray and, sadly, no one ever came to claim him. It's evident Tango's early life was spent mostly outdoors, as he didn't even know how to sit when he first arrived. But those days are long gone! Now, Tango is embracing his second chance, enjoying a full belly, cozy cuddles, and abundant love. He's currently enrolled in our Hamilton Hounds training program, where he's acing basic obedience, mastering good manners, and even learning some fun tricks. His favorite is the focused heel – he looks so dapper when he performs it! Tango is bursting with energy and joy, loving to play and then snuggle up for a nap. He's also incredibly affectionate and bonds deeply with his humans, giving his whole heart in return. If you're seeking a canine companion to brighten your days with enthusiasm, affection, and a eagerness to learn, Tango could be your perfect match.

Ideal Home

Tango needs a home with a yard where he can run and play. He cannot live in an apartment.

Ongoing Health

Tango is neutered and up-to-date on all his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Tango is currently in a training program and is excelling. He's learning basic obedience, manners, and tricks, with a particular fondness for the focused heel. He walks well on a leash, rides well in the car, and is house-trained and crate-trained. He is not destructive, food aggressive, or a flight risk. Tango is not good with cats, as he is likely to chase them.
