Hi there.... I'm Maiya! I'm a sweet Boxer X Bulldog mix weighing about 48 lbs, with an estimated birthday of March 13, 2024. For so much of my life, I was a stray, just trying to figure out where my next meal would come from. Then, the wonderful people at Sunnyside Street Dogs found me and showed me what it's like to be cared for, to have a full belly, a soft bed, and love. I’m so happy to have experienced this kindness, and now that my puppies have all found their forever homes, I’m hoping it’s finally my turn to be chosen. Everyone says I’m one of the sweetest, most gentle and easy-going girls they’ve ever met, and I’ve been wonderful with a one-year-old child, sharing curiosity and gentleness. I love being around people, soaking up affection, and going for walks. My leash manners are excellent, so I’ll be a happy companion on any adventure. I’m not asking for much – just a loving family, a cozy place to rest, and someone to remind me that my stray days are long gone.

Transportation
Maiya is located in Houston, TX. Transport to you or a neighboring state is included in the adoption fee. Pickup locations for transported dogs may vary. We coordinate with third-party ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. You can track the transport van using the Life360 app and will receive updates along the way.
