Ollie

Ollie is a happy, social Black Mouth Cur puppy full of life and curiosity. He gets along well with dogs, cats, men, women, and even roosters, making him a very adaptable and well-rounded pup. As a young puppy, Ollie is playful, energetic, and joyful. He loves to run, chase, and follow his dog companions, and he truly enjoys being part of the group. He is also very affectionate, loves giving kisses, and seeks human connection. Ollie is food-motivated and can be protective of his food. He may try to take food from other dogs, and if they resist, he can show some mild, passive defensive behavior. Because of this, we recommend feeding him separately and continuing basic training to help him learn boundaries as he grows. With structure, consistency, and guidance, Ollie has all the potential to become a well-balanced adult dog. He is still a baby and learning about the world, and his behaviors are very manageable with proper leadership and routine.

Ideal Home

Ollie is looking for an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. A home with a fenced backyard is preferred. He needs a family with the intention to truly rescue a dog and an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals. Experience in dog behavior and training is highly valued, or a willingness to hire a trainer. He requires high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies. Ollie is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Ollie has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and microchip. He has also had a 4DX test and certificate, a negative heartworm test certificate, and is on monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra). He also comes with a health certificate and vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Ollie is food-motivated and can be protective of his food, sometimes exhibiting mild, passive defensive behavior if challenged. It is recommended to feed him separately and continue basic training to help him learn boundaries. As he is not house-trained, consistent training and a clear routine will be essential for his success. Patience and understanding are crucial for rescued puppies.

• We will speak with 1-2 of your references.
• If approved, you will sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers vet care, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and food.

Transporation

Ollie is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip. Our transportation service offers door-to-door delivery for a one-time fee of $400 USD. We organize scheduled trips 3-4 times a year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. A contracted transport company collects pets in Mexico and will escort them across the border into Texas for US adoptions. For Canadian adoptions, pets will be delivered to the nearest US-Canada border. You will receive real-time updates via a private Facebook Messenger group, including photos, videos, and estimated arrival times. The transport team will conduct a final home review upon delivery.
