Bruce - Young Male Pyr Mix - Needs Foster

Bruce is a handsome young pup with a heart of gold, estimated to be born in Mid June 2024. He was found wandering alone and, after not being reclaimed, came to us looking for his forever home. Bruce is crate trained and housebroken, and he completed an initial training program. He's a smart boy who will need someone to work with him on his food protectiveness.

Ideal Home

Bruce would thrive in an adult-only household. We recommend an owner who is over 25 and owns their own home. He needs a securely fenced yard that is accessible from the home, as invisible fencing is not suitable for his breed. Bruce is not a dog to be trusted off-leash. We also do not place male puppies under the age of 2 with resident dogs of the same sex, as Great Pyrenees can become more dominant as they mature.

Ongoing Health

Bruce will require neutering between 18 and 24 months of age. This is to help prevent potential health issues later in life.

Training & Support

While Bruce has completed an initial training program, we require obedience training for all newly adopted Pyrs under a year old. This will help build a strong bond and ensure he is a well-behaved companion. Remember, Great Pyrenees are independent thinkers bred to be problem-solvers, so patience and consistency in training are key!
