About Meet Callie: the cutest wee cuddlebug!
Callie is a joyful, affectionate, and incredibly social little dog who truly loves people. She's the kind of pup who greets the world with enthusiasm—tail wagging, ready for attention, and very willing to roll over for a belly rub (her absolute favorite move!). She bonds quickly and deeply, and once she chooses you… you’ve got a best friend for life. It’s no surprise people start calling her a cuddlebug almost immediately—Callie absolutely loves being held, snuggled, and close to her people. At just 1 year old and approximately 12 lbs, this Shih Tzu mix is a petite, perfectly portable companion—the perfect blend of playful energy and affectionate closeness. She brings a really special mix of playful energy and affectionate connection—she’ll happily play, explore, and then settle right in beside you. Callie is the kind of dog people don’t forget: affectionate and deeply loyal, social and loves everyone she meets, playful, fun, and full of personality, and a true “velcro dog” who wants to be by your side.
Ideal Home
Callie will thrive in a home where she can be close to her people and included in everyday life. She’d especially love someone home often or a flexible schedule, a family who enjoys affection, cuddles, and connection, regular walks, playtime, and interaction, and a secure environment where she isn't left alone outside. Because of her small size, a home with older children or adults who understand small dogs require gentle handling would be best. Callie is smart and determined, especially when it comes to being near her people. She has shown she can climb or squeeze through smaller fencing if she feels separated, so she’ll do best in a home where she isn’t left alone outside or where fencing is very secure. This isn’t about running away—it’s about wanting to be close to her person. Callie thrives when she’s included and nearby, and she’s happiest living life alongside you.
Ongoing Health
Callie is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Callie has a great foundation and is ready to transition smoothly into a home. She is potty trained on a schedule, fully house trained, crate trained (if needed), and walks nicely on leash. She’s very intelligent and tuned in to her people, which makes her both fun to engage with and responsive to guidance.
