Marsha P. Johnson

If happiness had four legs and a wagging tail, it would be Marsha. At around two years old, this sweet hound has become one of the happiest dogs we've ever had the pleasure of fostering. Her tail seems to have a mind of its own—it never stops wagging. Whether she's greeting you in the morning, following you around the house, or simply relaxing nearby, Marsha has an infectious joy that makes every day a little brighter. She's wonderfully easy to live with, content to spend quiet days snoozing or lounging around the house, but she's always ready to play when the opportunity comes along. Marsha has been sweet, playful, and friendly with every dog she's met, making her a lovely companion for both people and canine friends alike.

Ideal Home

Marsha would thrive in a home where she can share her infectious joy. She gets along well with other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Marsha came to us with severe hip dysplasia and heartworm disease. She has since had surgery to repair her hip and is making steady progress. She is also bravely working her way through heartworm treatment. While she isn't quite finished with her recovery, she is showing just how resilient she is.

Training & Support

Marsha is wonderfully easy to live with and enjoys playtime when the opportunity arises.
