Meet Arthur!
Arthur is a 5-year-old, 78-pound neutered Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This handsome boy is the perfect combination of playful adventure buddy and affectionate cuddle companion. He was found roaming around a park with some other dogs and was brought to the county shelter before being rescued by a foster home. Arthur approaches every day with enthusiasm and is a moderate energy guy who enjoys playtime, exploring, and spending time with his people. He has successfully interacted with dogs of various sizes and is good at reading social cues. Arthur has also been around cats and pot-bellied pigs, showing curiosity but no aggression. He has spent time with a young child and done well, though his size and excitement could accidentally knock over a small child during play. Arthur is fully house-trained and crate-trained, settles nicely in his crate, and rides beautifully in the car. He is outgoing, playful, curious, affectionate, and incredibly sweet, loving toys and attention. Arthur may pull on the leash at first but settles into the routine and does well.

Arthur would thrive in a home that provides regular exercise, structure, and plenty of opportunities to be part of the family. He would do best with a family that understands his energetic nature and can provide appropriate outlets for his enthusiasm. He would thrive with people who enjoy including their dog in everyday adventures.

Arthur is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Arthur is fully house-trained and crate-trained. He may pull at first on walks but settles into the routine.
