About Ella

Ella is approximately 3 years old and around 60 lbs of pure fabulousness! This intelligent, eager-to-please girl is incredibly focused and submissive. As a higher-energy working breed, Ella thrives on both physical and mental challenges. Her strong herding drive would make her a fantastic ranch dog, or she could excel in activities like scent work, obedience, and agility. Once her exercise needs are met, Ella is a wonderfully calm and quiet companion indoors. She's crate trained, house-trained with a doggie door, and a dream on leash, knowing commands like sit, down, stay, come, place, and release. She even waits patiently in a sit for her food until released!

Ideal Home

Ella would love a home that can provide ample physical and mental stimulation. While she's great with other dogs, she has a boisterous play style that includes herding behaviors like stalking and gently grabbing hind legs and shoulders, so a canine companion who can keep up would be ideal. Due to her cat curiosity and tendency to chase, Ella would do best in a cat-free home. She can be a bit shy when meeting new people and is more comfortable with women than men. As she has no experience with children, a home without children under 8 years old is recommended.

Ongoing Health

Ella's adoption fee includes a current health examination, vaccinations, spay, microchip, flea and deworming treatment, and any other necessary medical or dental care as determined by our veterinarian.

Training & Support

Ella knows several basic commands and is a quick learner. Her energetic nature means she benefits from consistent training and outlets for her herding instincts.
