SJ Loki

Meet Loki, an 8-year-old handsome, affectionate, and well-mannered boy who is urgently seeking a dedicated adopter. He loves people and plays fetch like a pro, with tennis balls being his absolute favorite! Outside the shelter, Loki walks well on leash, regularly checks in with his handler, and remains calm around passing people and dogs. He still has the energy for a good hike but is happily past his rambunctious adolescent phase.

Ideal Home

Loki would thrive with an active individual or family who can provide consistency, patience, and ongoing support for his medical care. A cat-free home is a must, as he has been returned from a foster home due to incompatibility with cats.

Ongoing Health

Loki has been placed on medical final due to ongoing allergy-related needs. While in our care, he has required regular ear cleanings that must be performed under sedation due to his sensitivity to handling during treatments. He has shown improvement on a poultry-free diet and prescription allergy medication. With consistent diet and medication, his adopter may be able to reduce or even eliminate the need for frequent ear cleanings.

Training & Support

Loki is house-trained and knows basic commands. He is eager to please and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement and clear communication.
