Yanick

Yanick is a charming 1-year-old American Pitbull mix, weighing in at 47 pounds. He's described by his foster as a sweet, sensitive, and incredibly funny companion. Yanick has a big smile, loves to give and receive affection, and is an energetic pup perfect for an active family. He is deaf and is learning American Sign Language (ASL) for communication, demonstrating his impressive intelligence and eagerness to please. He has already mastered ASL signs for sit, down, stay, no jumping, leave it, and place, and he reliably recalls with a visual cue. Yanick is also house-trained, crate-trained, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and even chickens. He enjoys car rides and is good with children, though an adopter with older children might be a better fit due to his exuberant nature.

Yanick is a smart cookie who is eager to learn! He is house and crate trained and knows several ASL commands. He is working on leash walking, house manners, and respecting personal space. Continued positive reinforcement and consistent training will help him flourish.
