About Honey
Honey Comb is a sweet, affectionate, and incredibly cuddly 6-year-old terrier mix. Weighing in at 68 lbs, she's a full-grown gal who's the perfect blend of playful energy and chill vibes. If you're looking for a devoted companion, Honey Comb is your girl! She absolutely adores being close to her humans, whether it's resting her head on your lap, nuzzling in for a cuddle, or gently placing a paw on your arm. She's not a big kisser, so you can enjoy all the affection without the slobber!
Honey Comb is also independent and can happily entertain herself, making her an excellent work-from-home buddy. She's content to nap nearby, watch the world go by from the window, or enjoy a good chew toy. When it's time for fun, she's always ready! The words "Let's go outside!" will send her into a happy bounce, and her excited zoomies are a sight to behold. She enjoys neighborhood walks, car rides, and puzzle toys. Honey Comb is a social butterfly who loves meeting new people, both young and old, and she's great with kids. Her big smile, wagging tail, and signature "stop, drop, and roll" move (her way of asking for belly rubs!) will win everyone over. She's also a great guest at any gathering, greeting visitors warmly before settling in with new friends.
Honey Comb is kennel trained, potty trained, and leash trained. She loves leisurely walks on quiet nature trails and is incredibly respectful around food. She's not destructive and can be trusted when left alone. While she's happy to sleep in a kennel, she'd love to sleep in her forever family's bed or on a dog bed right beside it. She communicates her need to go potty by tap-dancing by the door and is reliable even when left for a full workday.
Ideal Home
Honey Comb would thrive in a home where she can spend plenty of quality time with her people. She needs a securely fenced backyard for playing fetch and sunbathing. She would prefer a quieter suburban or rural setting over a busy city, as she loves nature trails and hikes where she can explore and enjoy open spaces. She's not a fan of public dog parks and would enjoy fun adventures at "Sniff Spots." As an only pet, Honey Comb will truly shine and form strong, loving bonds with her humans, soaking up all the attention. A feline-free home is recommended as she has not been tested with cats. Her foster parents recommend a home with children aged 4 and up, as her happy tail might accidentally knock over a very small child.
Ongoing Health
Honey Comb is a healthy girl.
Training & Support
Honey Comb is a smart cookie and quickly learns household routines. She has excellent manners and is respectful of food. Her fosters have taught her to be calm with new visitors.
