Dani is a delightful 10-month-old Collie/Sheltie mix, weighing about 32lbs, and is already spayed. She's expected to grow to around 40lbs, making her a medium-sized companion. Dani is a bright spark with a lot of love to give! She came to us from a partner group that saves dogs from shelters at risk of euthanasia in areas with limited resources. We are so happy to be able to give her a second chance at a happy life!
Ideal Home
Dani is looking for an active home that can provide plenty of structure, exercise, and mental stimulation. She'll need at least 90 minutes of movement each morning, plus regular potty breaks and engaging brain games throughout the day. An adopter with prior experience caring for dogs of similar breeds, temperaments, or energy levels is essential. While puppy experience is a bonus, the most important thing is having ample time and patience, as puppies require tremendous effort to raise. Dani would do best in a home with adults or children ages 8 and up, as puppies can be mouthy and accidentally boisterous with younger children.
Ongoing Health
Dani is currently healthy. She is up-to-date on her DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, is spayed, microchipped, and has been treated with dewormer.
Training & Support
Dani is still working on potty training and will need consistency and patience. She is also in a mouthy phase, which is common for puppies as they explore and teethe. Proper training, chew toys, and socialization will be key to helping her through this. She may also experience some separation anxiety as she learns to self-soothe, and consistent training will be important. Leash manners will need to be taught, and she may not be crate trained, though this can be a useful tool for training and independence. We strongly recommend professional, rewards-based training from the start.
