Float

Float is a charming 7-8 year old, 53 lb gentleman who is ready to find his forever home! He was found as a stray and spent a very long time in a shelter that sadly lost funding. We were so happy to be able to rescue him just before it closed down. Float's first vet visit revealed he is partially blind and has arthritis in his back legs. We also discovered he's likely 7-8 years old, not the 3 years initially estimated, which makes his time in the shelter even more poignant. Despite everything he's been through, Float's spirit is undimmed! He is a friendly and easygoing boy who loves people, children, cats, and dogs. He enjoys playing with other dogs and going for long sniffaris. While he may occasionally bump into things in new environments, he quickly learns his way around and navigates his surroundings with ease.

Ideal Home

Float would love a home where he can enjoy leisurely strolls and plenty of cuddles. He's a wonderful companion for children, cats, and other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Float is partially blind and has arthritis in his back legs. He also had pressure sores on his elbows from his time on concrete floors, but these are healing well.

Training & Support

Float is a smart and adaptable boy. He's getting used to his surroundings and will likely continue to do so with patience and understanding.

Transporation

Float is currently being fostered in Abington, MA. He is available for adoption locally or out-of-state, but the adopter will need to travel to meet him.
