Smokey is a handsome 2-year-old, 60-pound Cane Corso/Weimaraner mix who came to us as a stray. He's fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and ready to find his forever family! Smokey has a low to moderate energy level; he enjoys playing with other dogs but also loves to cuddle on the couch. He's described as a super sweet, kind-hearted, and affectionate boy who just wants love and attention. Smokey is a quick learner and has a gentle, laid-back nature, making him the perfect companion for someone looking for a devoted friend.
Ideal Home
Smokey would thrive in a home with someone who works from home or is rarely away for extended periods, as he experiences some separation anxiety. He would do best in a house rather than an apartment and would love a canine companion to play with, as he enjoys playing chase with his doggy friends and is submissive during play. Smokey would also thrive in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people. He would prefer a home without cats.

Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained. He is not a big fan of crates and prefers not to be shut inside them, though he will rest in one. He does cry for a bit when left alone, but he does not tear anything up and eventually settles. He can be a little nervous around strangers and might bark out of excitement but is easily redirected. He may pull slightly on the leash when first starting a walk due to excitement but quickly settles and walks calmly.
