Charlie may be tiny at just 5 pounds, but this handsome 8-year-old Chihuahua has a heart that's ready to grow. Charlie came to us from a heartbreaking hoarding situation involving 130 dogs. While he's understandably shy in new situations, curiosity often wins out. He's one of the braver little survivors, quietly watching the world around him and taking small, courageous steps toward trusting people every day. Because Charlie has always found comfort in other dogs, he needs another friendly small dog in his forever home. A confident canine companion will help him continue to build confidence and discover that life outside the hoarding house can be full of love, soft beds, and gentle hands. Charlie is simply adorable, with his tiny size, expressive eyes, and sweet little face. He has a way of melting hearts without even trying. Charlie isn't searching for excitement; he's searching for security. A patient family, a confident little dog friend, and a peaceful home are all he needs to continue blossoming into the loyal companion he's meant to be. Ideal Home
Charlie needs another friendly small dog in his home to help him build confidence. He is looking for a home without small children due to his timid nature.
Ongoing Health
Charlie is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm checked, and on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
Training & Support
Charlie is crate trained and potty pad trained. He rides nicely in the car. He's still figuring out what a leash is all about, so his new family should be prepared to continue introducing him to the world at his own pace.

Transporation
Charlie is located in Bloomington, IL. We do not ship, so you would need to travel to pick him up if you live out of state.
