Meet Steve, a wonderfully goofy and loving 4.5-year-old American Bulldog/Pit Bull mix! This 65-pound charmer is always thrilled to see his people and wants nothing more than to be by your side for pets and affection. Steve's past hasn't been easy – he was found after being thrown from a vehicle on the highway – but remarkably, he absolutely adores car rides! He's a big fan of games like Frisbee, fetch, and especially tug-of-war, so regular playtime is essential to help him burn off energy before settling down for snuggle time. He's a smart cookie, very motivated by treats, and learns quickly. Steve is crate and house-trained and thrives on a consistent schedule. He also loves to keep himself entertained with chew toys and big bones!

Ideal Home

Steve is a bit of a clumsy fellow, so a home without very small children who might be accidentally knocked over would be best. While he tries his hardest to be gentle, his enthusiastic paws can sometimes get ahead of him!

Ongoing Health

Steve is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Steve is house-trained, though he may need a refresher in a new environment. He needs a Gentle Leader-type harness for walks, as he is a strong boy. With a little patience and understanding, especially in the beginning, Steve will reward you with a lifetime of love and loyalty.

Transporation

Steve is currently in boarding and is available for transport within our service area. He would also love to find a foster home, and qualifies for a foster-to-adopt program or just a foster arrangement.
